Meet Sam. Samatha is originally from Manhattan Beach, CA and is a rising senior at Emory University double majoring in psychology and human health. At Emory, she currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Alpha Delta Pi and as the President of Students for Tong Len, an organization Sam helped found at Emory dedicated to supporting underserved children in the Kangra Valley in Northern India.
This summer, Sam was working with Luna Lights - a company whose technology is improving nighttime safety for seniors as a digital marketing intern. With this position she was able to take Luna Lights' previously underutilized marketing funnel and develop a strategic plan for Luna Lights to gain more brand awareness and lead generation. From this experience, Sam learned what working in a start-up is all about. She was able to experience first-hand what it is like to work in a small company where everyone is wearing lots of hats and scrapping their way to success. Her favorite part about Luna Lights - was the small collaborative team environment and ability to work with autonomy when building a marketing strategy. Her second favorite part was Chicago - it was an incredible city to spend a summer, with nice people, warm weather, and most importantly good food.
